Robyn and I were sealed in the Oakland Temple on August 17th 2002. I started the day out early with not much to do besides pack for the honeymoon. After packing I put my tux on with a little help from Jason and then he took me over to the Temple. Along the way we stopped by McDonalds and put some food in my stomach. The ride over was good and he expressed disappointment in not being able to be a part of the sealing ceremony. We listened to the Crow Soundtrack on the way over. It was the last CD I listened to before being married. There was a little confusion once Robyn and I were both at the Temple. The wind had blown my Sealing recommend away while getting out of the car and Robyn didn't have one at all (we thought we just needed the one). A recommend is basically just a piece of paper that says you can have the ceremony done in the temple. Sharon went back out to the car and searched around and ended up finding my recommend on the ground. We had to make some phone calls to get Robyn's all cleared up. A short while later we were sealed in the house of the lord for all time and eternity. Marty Riker and Chip Dawson were the two witnesses to the sealing and marriage.

After the sealing we decided to have a ring ceremony where Robyn and I exchanged rings as symbols of our love. The ceremony was done there on the Temple grounds as well and we were glad that it allowed our friends and family members a chance to be a part of the celebration. My ring hadn't come in yet so I had to use a stand by ring (a gold lions head ring I bought in the 8th grade). Jason hadn't seen the ring in about 4 years so it was a surprise to him that I still had it. I thought it was lost myself but found it in the bottom of a box while I was cleaning my room to make space for Robyn in her new home. To me the ring was a symbol of mine and Jason's friendship but it brought back some rough memories for him. So it had mixed results. Renee (one of the brides maids) sang "Grow Old With Me" at which time Robyn and I both cried and made pretty much everyone else cry too. Bishop Steven Dawson presided over the ceremony. Robyn and I were both pleased with how it all turned out and only regret not getting a recording of Renee singing.

After the Ring Ceremony we did pictures around the Temple grounds. More pictures will be cominging in a few weeks.

Once pictures were done Chip and Gordon gave Robyn and I a ride back to Fremont for the reception. We had a few moments of anxiety when we weren't sure if the food was going to get there and not all the songs we wanted played were played but other than that the night was fabulous (though a little stressful, as any good wedding should be). Robyn and a few of the ladies from the ward (and my family from out of town) did a fantastic job in setting up the lights and all the little gardens and I don't think most people noticed that they were sitting in a basketball court. It was all quite beautiful. It was hard to stick to the schedule and we didn't get to talk to everyone (sorry) but we're happy about everyone that came.

Our first dance was "Arms of An Angel" and our last dance was "Hanging By a Moment". There was another musical suprise, my personal rendition of the Safty Dance, thank you Robyn and Charles. Some one with more talent (Martin), then did a stirring rendition of "Love Me Tender" in our Honor (and Elvis').

We had three very nice toasts. One from my father, one from Robyn's and a final one from Jason.

We spent most of the evening handing out party favors and visiting our guests. We used Hotwheels with our names and wedding date on them as the favors. Everyone loved them (that was my one contribution to the wedding, besides showing up). We cut the cake, robyn bit my finger, I smeared a little on her face and then we were off to the garter and bouquet toss. Both events went quite well. We barly had time for the last dance and then we grabbed all of our stuff (or atleast half of it, I left my wallet and phone at the church which we had to come back for them later that night) and then headed off to our honeymoon at approximatly 9:30PM. I cried about three times on this day.

Thanks to everyone who made this day possible.
